Today I talk to the Godfather of Black Cinema. A man who claims to have watched black cinema more than anyone alive. Now, this is someone I have been looking forward to talking to. Emmanuel Anyiam-Osigwe the creator of the Black Urban Film Festival (BUFF) and MBE. We talked about a range of exciting topics from films that inspired him, to his fantastic wife Dr Clare Anyiam-Osigwe, upcoming directors and black creatives. We also discussed BUFF and the success it has had. In addition, the new phase Emmanuel that he is entering is so interesting to see and well deserved.

We talk about his upcoming documentary ‘Absolutely Marvellous’.it sounds like an interesting documentary that I am looking forward to watching. I also wanted to highlight DR Clare too who made ‘no shade’ which was based on her personal experience in the skin care business. I want to watch it because it highlights a huge issue within our community.

Here are the films we talked about during the episode too..

I hope you enjoyed this episode

We also talked about the African movie academy awards which showcase the best African talent there is. (link)

I also had to mention the trails of Muhammad Ali. Can you believe the guy was on broadway…
